Roger Francois------------------------Roger Francois was born around 1928 in Petite Riviere. He began his life in art as a wood sculptor and has been painting since the early 1960s. He is known especially for his paintings of nudes and of animals. For example, a color reproduction of his painting Femme au canard appears in the exhibition catalog book La Peinture Haitienne: Dialogue du Reel et de L’Imaginaire.
